So it was 2020, after the 2nd wave of the pandemic

We met at a mutual friend’s birthday party at The Bonnie in Astoria and started talking a few weeks later. Within a month, we had gone on our first date. It would be the first of three dates in eight days. It was the start of something special. We moved into Gwen’s apartment in Long Island City and within months, were talking about buying a place together. We’d buy our home in Kew Gardens in late summer of 2021 and on April 1st, 2022 (Yes, April Fools’ Day was an unintentional choice), we got engaged in the original Kew Gardens in London. Together, we’ve been to six countries and 14 states, countless concerts, comedy shows, a few Rangers games, and a few baseball games. We knew very early on that we had finally met our partner, love, and best friend all in one person. We found someone who not only “gets” each other’s weirdness, but embraces it. It brings us so much joy to know we get to share our special day with those closest to us. Everyone’s support and well wishes are more appreciated than we can articulate.
